Just discovered how to make a vegan date caramel sauce. So super easy and so good too! Stumbled on this gal's site and recipe. Super delicious. Dates, coconut milk, syrup - I used 1/4 cup molasses (since I am trying to get more iron in my diet) plus 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, vanilla and sea salt. So easy, so good! It makes a lot so I'm jarring it up to save for desserts, oatmeal, tea, etc. I had always wanted to try and make this sauce for flavoring and make it more natural. Super good! Plus with fall coming, there are some fun ways to use a vegan caramel sauce. This morning is for an apple caramel oatmeal!
