So, I've been forever trying to get my meal plans on a good schedule and figure out how to plan, shop, be healthy efficiently. I came across this website in a Paleo Blog I follow and decided to give it a try, Real Plans - Online Meal Planning. It has taken a little getting used to, but I absolutely love this site and the menu planning capability. As with any new program, you gotta try it out a couple weeks to get the hang of it. So, now that I understand the benefits and features and use the iPhone app as well, I am really looking forward to planning my meals on Thursday nights for the next week. That way, I get an email on Friday of the meal plan for the upcoming week and shopping list. The reason I am choosing Thursday nights, is so I can have my shopping list all ready to go, so in the event I go shopping in the summer at the Farmer's Market, which I plan to do a lot more this year, I'll be able to buy my produce locally and support the local farmers while getting fresh fruits and vegetables on Saturday mornings. You can either pay a monthly fee, or get it cheaper for the year. And if you want to upgrade to sites that are your favorite, like Whole 30 for example, you can pay I think $1 extra per month to have a database of their recipes populate your menu planning. I love how you can choose your diet and and foods you want to exclude, for example, so you can cater to your dietary theory, diet restrictions, etc. And you can modify along the way. I really like it! And I know the developers will be making modifications to the site as time goes on. I am alway fascinated by businesses that begin and build something like this and watch it grow. So fun! Anyhow, the meals I have been making, most of them my family is really liking. So, lots of healthy recipes and good ones too!
Anyhow, from that site, I got this breakfast dish I made yesterday and the family enjoyed it more than I thought they would. It was supposed to be Paleo Cranberry Scones, but the texture is really more like a coffee cake. So, I titled my blog post Paleo Cranberry Coffee Cake.
